Are you interested in making your own leather wallet? Join us for one of our workshops during which we will introduce you to the Nitmoi wallet. You will understand more about vegetable-tanned leather, our design approach and the leather techniques needed to create the wallet. After an inspiring workshop, you can proudly call yourself the owner of a self-made sustainable Nitmoi wallet.

You will be making an Minimalist Wallet, which can hold up to 12 cards, banknotes, coins and other small items. Comes with two compartments; for cards and small items
In cognac, brown, dark green, navy blue or black.
A sustainable leather wallet made from premium Italian vegetable-tanned leather.

What to expect?
In this introductory workshop, cutting and stitching won't be covered, as you'll be creating the wallet using the Nitmoi folding technique!
Johannes will introduce you to vegetable-tanned leather, which forms the foundation of the wallet. He'll explain how the leather is cut and what the Nitmoi folding technique looks like. Next, you'll select your preferred leather color and learn how to treat it. Additionally, you'll address leather edge finishing, folding, and attaching your chosen hardware.
After an inspiring workshop, you can proudly call yourself the owner of a self-made sustainable leather wallet.

Attendees
Nitmoi has the right to move or cancel the workshop, when the minimum number of 2 participants is not reached. In case of cancellation you will receive your money back.

After finalising your booking you will receive a confirmation email. Plus you will get another email prior to the workshop with some additional information.
Cancellation
- Within 3 days of registration: free of charge
- Up to 14 days prior to the workshop: 25% of the price
- Within 14 days until the workshop: 50% of the price
Cancellation can only be done by e-mail via support support@nitmoi.nl. Replacing a participant is possible and free of charge.

Create the wallet you need
make it yourself
During this workshop you will make a leather wallet yourself!
Select your favorite colour leather & hardware, and with the Nitmoi's signature folding technique, you will make an unique wallet fitting your style.

1. Select
It's up to you! Choose your favorite colour leather and metal parts, to ensure your wallet becomes uniquely yours.

2. Prepare
Step-by-step you prepare the wallet. Like punching holes, edge finishing and nurturing the leather.

3. Make
This is where it all comes together. The wallet is folded and put together using rivets, finished by adding the inside. Walk out with your own Nitmoi wallet!
Experience leatherwork
In this workshop you will;
- learn the techniques to create a beautiful Nitmoi wallet out of one piece of eco-friendly leather.
- get the guidance to be able to make and personalise the wallet yourself, yes even without any experience!
- work in small groups, max 3-4 persons.
- have a great time with coffee, tea and snacks, in the Nitmoi workshop studio in Utrecht.
By the end of the workshop, you will have a stylish and unique wallet to take home!

Nitmoi wallets have been designed to last a long time. Due to its unique folding technique and its construction from a single-piece high quality vegetable-tanned leather. Vegetable-tanned leather has been treated and coloured only with natural tannins, creating a eco-friendly leather without any chemicals. It absorbs traces of life, maturing beautifully over time, showing a characteristic and unique patina.

When your are new to leatherwork and making a leather wallet, this workshop is for you. Johannes is the owner and creator of Nitmoi, and he will guide your through the entire process. He will provide you with the right amount of information to keep things interesting and fun!

I don't have any experience with leather, can I join the workshop?
Yes, you can certainly join. You don't need any leather working experience, to be able to leave the workshop with a beautiful wallet! If you do have some experience, this workshop is also for you, Johannes has a lot of experience to share with you.
What's included in the workshops?
The workshop includes all the materials and tools to be able to make the wallet. This means the leather and tarp for the inside pull-up system and the metal parts, many different options available. Plus the workshop also includes coffee, tea, drinks and some snacks!
Can I join the workshop with a friend?
Yes of course, the workshop is a really nice experience to share with a friend, sister or mother! You can easily book it at once or separate from each other.

The workshop will take place in the Nitmoi Studio in Utrecht. Located in a creative area next to the Havenloods, and close to NAR and de Nijverheid.
The Nitmoi studio has been circulair build out of shipping containers and provides an inspirational setting for the workshops.
Easy to reach, free parking and close to Utrecht Central Station & Utrecht Zuilen Station.
